Maintenance Mechanic I

 

Applications are currently being accepted for a full time 37.5 hours a week Maintenance Mechanic I. 

  

Job duties include building and grounds maintenance for properties owned/managed by Auburn Housing Authority.  This includes but is not limited to general cleaning of vacant units as well as on-call rotation and snow removal in the winter months.

 

 A valid Maine Driver’s license and clean driving record is required.

  

The starting pay ranges from $19.00 to $21.00 per hour dependent upon experience.  Auburn Housing Authority offers an excellent benefits package.

 Lead Maintenance Mechanic

 

This Lead Maintenance Mechanic position will be responsible for providing maintenance staff with leadership and knowledge of work to be performed for the purpose of keeping the Authority properties safe, sanitary and in good condition for our residents.

  

This position reports to the Director of Maintenance and works 37.5 hours per week, rotating on call after hours, weekends and holidays.

 

High School diploma or GED required. A two-year trade school degree in the maintenance field preferred.

Procurement and Contracting Officer

 

 

Applications are currently being accepted for a full-time Procurement/Contracting Officer.

This position reports directly to the Executive Director of Auburn Housing Authority (AHA) and is a member of the AHA Senior Management Team.

The position is responsible for assisting Auburn Housing Development Corporation, an affiliate of Auburn Housing Authority, and AHA in the procurement of materials, energy, and construction contracts, bid management, budget development for related activities, construction monitoring and contract compliance. This person frequently works with Architects, Engineers and Municipalities with new construction and major renovations of existing properties and works closely with AHA Maintenance Director. Some evening work is required. Other duties include, but are not limited to, applicable HUD compliance including Davis Bacon regulations. Familiarity with HUD CFP program a plus. Candidates should have five to seven years of progressive responsibility in procurement and construction management or a related field. Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.
