The Application Process
Interested persons must complete
a preliminary application indicating
which waiting lists they are interested in.
Each location or program has a separate waiting list,
and different income limits for eligibility.
Your application will be evaluated
and you will receive a letter stating your placement on,
or ineligibility for, the waiting lists you have selected.

Reasonable Accommodation Requests
A reasonable accommodation is a physical or administrative change
that removes a barrier to equal access.
Auburn Housing Authority may grant a reasonable accommodation
provided it does not create
an undue financial burden,
create a fundamental change in the nature of the program(s) we provide,
or is in some manner structurally infeasable.
Auburn Housing Authority is a public agency
that provides housing and housing assistance programs
to eligible lower income persons,
including families, elderly, disabled and handicapped persons.
Auburn Housing Authority shall not discriminate
against applicants or program participants
on the basis of their race, religion, sex,
national origin, disability or handicap.
In addition, the Authority has an obligation to provide
a reasonable accommodation where necessary
to applicants of program participants
if she/he or any family member has a disability or handicap.
A family which has a member with a disability
must still be able to fully meet
essential obligations of tenancy and program participation.
It must be able to pay rent, care for the apartment,
report required information to the Authority,
avoid disturbing neighbors, etc.
